For my photos in the magazine i decided to use location and costume well to make the images seem more professional. The location for the shoot was a photography room, i used this room as it had a blank background that i could use, along with the right materials such as lights and cameras that i could use. I wanted to use the blank background to keep focus on the models.
The models i used were all suited to the audience i aimed my magazine at. I wanted to use individual looking girls with an interesting image as it meant that the images would look more professional, and would suite the audience better. Because they are all quite different in the way they dress it would bring in readers as they would be interested in how they dress, and aspire to be them. Hence why i put them in 'indie' clothing, typically worn by the audience themselves.

Font and Colour Mood Board
I created this mood board to get some ideas on the fonts to use in the magazine and what colour schemes to use.
Audience Mood Board
This mood board shows the things that my magazines audience would be interested in, the bands they like and the clothing they wear. I ave done this to get a better idea of who im creating a magazine for, and to make sure it suites them.

The target markets thoughts on the product
I asked some people from my target market to talk about my magazine and what they thought of each aspect of the product.
What do you think of the front cover?
Georgia: I really like the look of the models featured, i think they make the front cover look really interesting and quite indie as well. I also really like the masthead as the bright red box really stands out and draws the audience to the cover.
Alex: I really like the bands featured and it makes me want to read it!
Lily: I really like the colour scheme used as it seems unisex, i also really like the style that the models are dressed in, as their look makes the front cover seem very indie.
What do you think of the contents page?
Georgia: I like the way that its set out, as it seems really organised and not too chaotic, i also like that there is a way of finding the pages you want easily.
Alex: I thought that the way it uses the main covers models again with a story was really good, as they are the main people and should be featured a lot! i also really like that the colour scheme is consistent as it makes it really aesthetically pleasing. I also like that the bands featured are easy to find.
Lily: I really liked the title, i think it was simple but clear and i think it suites the magazine type. I also like the image of the girls from the front cover as they look like they are having fun, and its not as serious. I also like the story that is told underneath the picture about their live gig, and it makes me want to read more about it.
What do you think of the double page spread?
Georgia: i really liked the story used, as it was relatable and i felt like the band were just talking to me, it was very personal also and so it gave me an insight to how they are off camera. I really liked how it was set out as it made me aspire to be like them, which is what was intended.
Alex: i really liked it, i thought that the article focused a lot on females, but then again its always good for males to read that, and i seemed to enjoy it! i really liked how it focused on their personal likes and dislikes, as its always nice to know things about your favourite bands that makes you feel as if you know them well.
Lily: i liked the topic of the article, about the band reforming, and they seemed really passionate about it which i liked, i also liked the photo used on the page as it showed them looking really strong.
