Questionnaire chart results.
This is the questionnaire results in chart form, this gives me a wider range of ideas that can help me to evaluate and create my college magazine. It allows me to understand my target audience further and to develope my magazine to reach all aspects of the audience. It also shows that there was an equal split between the genders, as i tried to target 50% females and 50% males to get the most even results. I also found that there was mostly 16-17 year olds that completed the survey, whereas 18-19 year olds were lest interested to participate. This could be because they have been at the college longer and so maybe would have already had experiences with bad college magazines. With the content, the most popular was fashion and music reviews. The least popular was gaming reviews. With the prices it varied, as most of the participants said they would pay 50p however when i explained the quality would become worse with the lower price they still chose 50p. This may of been because the most popular release date was weekly, and so the quality would have to be low as it would be expensive to create high quality per week. The most popular magazines that had already been read by the audience were, NME, Company and Kerrang. This shows i would have to vary the content due to the large differences between the audience's preferences. The most popular colour was red and so i will use this predominately throughout the magazine. The two most popular discounted products were clothing and food and so i would include these inside my college magazine. The questionnaire also found out that people would like to see competitions in the magazine. It also shows that people would prefer short text boxes to read instead of long paragraphs of text. With the quality, it was found that they would prefer a lower quality A4 sized magazine to read.
